What is Group of Planets? Categorizing planets

Planets affect our personalities. Knowing each planet is important, but grouping the planets is a must.

So when you know the planet, then also know the group of each planet. There are just 3 groups.

  • Group 1 Personal planets: the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars
  • Group 2 Transpersonal planets (Social planets): Jupiter, Saturn
  • Group 3 Outer planets: Uranus, Neptune, Pluto

Group 1 — Personal planets: the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars

The Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars are personal planets. These planets move quickly.

How quick? For example, Mercury’s year is 88 days. Moon? As we know, 28 days (a month).

These planets greatly affect our personality. This is why it is called “personal” planets. They should be very well considered for personality analysis.

Group 2 — Transpersonal planets (Social planets): Jupiter, Saturn

Jupiter and Saturn are transpersonal planets, or often also called social planets. They move at a slower pace compared to personal planets.

Even though social planets also affect personalities, they have large impact on our “social” behavior and aspect.

Group 3 — Outer planets: Uranus, Neptune, Pluto

Uranus, Neptune, Pluto are outer planets.

They move very slow. (For example, 248 years for pluto). Here we see often world, society etc.

For personality analysis, you can forget outer planets for now: outer planets are way too slow to recognize daily

Even though outer planets are important to analyze, if you analyze yourself, you should always start from personal planets and transpersonal planets.

You can skip outer planets at first. This is because the movement of outer planets is way too slow to recognize on a daily basis.

It is not suitable for daily/ monthly analysis. It is more for longer term analysis.

So instead of getting confused with outer planets, make sure to know the impact of personal and transpersonal planets.
